| The Initiative Heritage Trails is a program that will explore the overlooked and underappreciated areas of this country. Heritage Trails will also provide high quality media and hands-on material for educators in all subjects. What is being explored? What makes a place historic? That is the question posed by the Heritage Trails series and through the documentaries and other material will attempt to find the answer. It will take the hopes and dreams of everyday people as the true source of history. By looking at the stories of those who lived, worked, struggled and left their small yet personal mark on the land and on the history of the country. |
